The 13th Arab Seminar for Executives of Scout Missions witnesses the launch of the celebration of scouting centenary ة
Throughout April, executives of all scout missions in the Arab Scout Associations participated in a number of significant programs and activities that were held in the premises of the Arab Scout Region.
In this vein, Dr. Atif Abdelmageed, Arab Scout Regional Director, Leader/ Nour El Din Bin Brahim, ASPU Chairman, Retired Aviation General/ Ahmed Abdel Latif, Member of the Arab Scout Committee and acting as a representative of the Head of the Egyptian Council for Youth and Sports, and Dr. Nasser Jassem El San'e, ASPU Honorary Chairman took part in the 13th Arab Seminar. Under the motto "new thought for a long lifetime", the Seminar was held with attendance of 89 participants representing 14 Arab Scout Associations and ASPU members who were taking part in the 17th ASPU executive committee. During the Seminar, the achievements of 2004-2006 strategy were evaluated and 2008-2010 strategy was discussed. Some 120 Scouts witnessed the launch of the Arab Scout Region's celebration of scouting centenary.
Moreover, the programs comprised the 110th Meeting of the Arab Scout Committee under the Chairmanship of Mr. Mohamed Afilal. In addition Dr. Abdullah Omar Nassef headed the meetings of the Supreme Body of the Arab Scout Foundation. Furthermore, Meetings of the Arab Scout Sub-committees were held including scout section development and programs, adult resources development, community development and co-operation with international organization, development of PR, media and communication, strategic planning and the "scout award" sub-committee
