International Catholic Conference of Scouting
The International Catholics Conference of Scouting (ICCS) aims to bridge the “worlds” of Catholicism and Scouting spiritually and practically so that young people, boys and girls, can contribute to the improvement and the transformation of the world and the human society- locally, nationally, globally.
ICCS helps young people to live and to develop themselves as Scouts in a community of believers. But ICCS does this through a proper and modern understanding of being a member of the Catholic Church as its religious community. There ICCS have has a special mission as so-called “lay persons”. ICCS' practical mission will mainly be realized in the life of its four Regions (Europe-Mediterranean Region, Africa, Asia Pacific and Inter-America) but in the first place in member organisations. ICCS enjoys consultative status with the World Scout Committee.
