We are a world community

9. September 2013 - 0:37

As part of a rally for Cub Scouts and Beaver Scouts in the Western District of Kagawa Council on Shikoku Island in Japan, Cub Scouts and Beavers Scouts met with people from Japan, Vietnam, China and the US, and talked about Scouting around the world.  The young Scouts were asked what they knew about people in other countries, and taught greetings and cultural information about other countries.  The goal was to let them know that we are all connected by many things, including Scouting.  We looked at world maps and found different countries, and we looked at the Scout emblems from different countires.  Young Scouts were given sheets with their favorite Scout emblems on them, or the emblems of Scouts in countries where they said that they'd like to visit.
