"Tahrir Square" and the events which Egypt have witnessed recently were considered an attractive venue and a rich environment for those who work in media & plastic arts to present expressive arts which reflect the different events and activities witnessed by the named square and how to regain the spirit of construction and working.
Some 49 participants from the 5th SMCM diploma which is organized in a close cooperation with Al- Ahram Regional Institute for Press representing 10 Arab NSOs including Tunisia, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Oman, Lebanon, Egypt, Libya, Mauritania and Yemen, paid a visit to "Tahrir Square" to be trained on how to conduct news reports. The participants ended to a great collection of relevant works including very distinguishing works on reconstructive, beautification activities as well as art graphite on walls.
Number of interesting and important relevant topics were scheduled for the program of the named diploma as follows: Art editorial, characteristics of the successful Broadcaster, public surveys, etiquette & International protocol, modern trends in Marketing, marketing and media campaign & Design advertising campaigns, investigation press, Communication skills, partnership between community and the scout movement, editing economic reports, Editing websites, video montage techniques, application of Info-graphic in press field, the multimedia in daily papers, basics & skills of press photography, Strategy of persuasion and change directions, humanitarian Writing and marketing of the Scout Movement, Investigative journalism, press interview, Art of writing attractive headlines, the role of youth and forming the future, caricature art, International media and Arab issues..etc.
Add to that Field visits were managed to the main editing room & the printing houses of Al- Ahram, Media production city and its Studious, Egyptian Stock Exchange, Media Production City, International Academy of Media in Alskorok area ..etc.
Though the Procedures of granting the certification of completion for the diploma scheduled during a period of 3 to 6 months after the closing dates of the event, Dr. Atif Abdelmageed – the Arab Scout Regional Director announced that he will it – and for the first time - to those who can conduct a comprehensive report on the named diploma using one of the presentations means at the end of the scheduled program of the event. Mr. Waleed Etani – Lebanon scout federation- was the winner. He was granted the certification of completion for the named diploma and a Certificate of Appreciation by Al- Ahram Regional Institute for Press for his efficient daily support to the official website of the named institute which ensured a daily presence of the Arab Scout Movement news on the website along 18 days.
