Membership Registration Software in 4 National Scout Associations in the South East Europe
1st Jan 2010
As part of their Tailored Support requests, four National Scout Organisations expressed the need for software for membership registration.
Under a previous PFDG Fund project, the Region financed a project of Lithuanian Scouting which was about the development of membership registration software a condition of which was that the software was to be provided to the Region, translated into English and free to use for any NSO/NSA.
The ESR hosted a demo of the software, initially at http://membership.scouthub.org and now at a new and permanent address http://www.scoutreg.org where we have space to host databases and software for those NSOs/NSAs that have no resources for this. For the moment we are hosting databases and software for the following associations - BSA (Albania), OBS (Bulgaria), SIM (FYROM) and SICG (Montenegro).
At the beginning of the month of March 2010, several presentations are done in the Albania, Bulgaria, FYRO Macedonia and Montenegro and those NSO/NSAs are expected to start using the software shortly.
Also Scouts from Bulgaria and FYRO Macedonia are considering a possibility to upgrade the software and make it more specific to their needs. If there is interest from other NSOs in Europe. this upgrade will be presented on the software pagehttp://www.scoutreg.org
