The Arab Scout Seminar "Road Map for Curricula" 24-30/4/2010, Kuwait

Kuwait Boy Scouts Association hosted the Arab Scout Seminar "Road Map for Curricula" which was held during the period 24-30/4/2010. The Seminar aimed at reviewing the new Proposed Arab Scout Curricula of Scouts Section & Scout leaders for the final approval to be put for examination.

Dr. Abdullah Al- Fahad- Chairman, Arab Scout Committee; Dr. Jafaar Al- Erian- Chairman, Kuwait Boy Scouts Association & Dr. Atif Abdelmageed- Arab Scout Regional Director lunched the named event with the participation of some of 40 Scout Leaders (males & Females) representing 12 Arab NSOs as follows: Jordan, Bahrain, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Egypt & Yemen. From his side Dr. Waleed Al- Moulla – Chairman of the named Seminar declared the opinion of the participants in which they emphasized on the necessity of simplifying the new proposed Arab Scout Curricula to go with Scouts Section age. On the other hand, they emphasized also that the Arab Scout Region should approve Beavers S. Section (Pre-Cub S. section). The new proposed Arab Scout Curricula are going to be put in its final approved version in 2012, as part of the Arab Scout Centenary.
