Kazakhstan Scouts open new horizons!

On March 29, 2014 in the capital of Kazakhstan signed a memorandum of cooperation between Organisation of Scout Movement of Kazakhstan and Scout Organization of Malaysia whose leaders have participated in the international conference «The Scout method of non-formal education of children and youth» in Astana. The conference was also attended by the Director of the Eurasia Regional Scout Bureau Iurie Emilian, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Malaysian Ambassador in Kazakhstan, His Excellency Dato' Hidayat Abdul Hamid, Press Attache of the U.S. Embassy in Astana David "Chip" Gamble , which has a high rank of Eagle Scout in the Organization of Boy Scouts of America, members of the Parliament of Kazakhstan , as well as scout leaders of Kazakhstan , Kyrgyzstan, Russia .
Malaysian partners in the framework of their visit to Kazakhstan also have met with the Vice Minister of Education and Science, which confirmed their intention to support the development of Scouting in Kazakhstan, noting the planned long-term cooperation prospects.
At the signing of the Memorandum the President of Organisation of Scout Movement of Kazakhstan Ildar Katenov and the Chairman of Scout Organization of Malaysia Dato' Seri Paduka Dr Haji Shafie bin Mohd Salleh discussed the intention to exchange visits scout groups, the conducting joint educational programs for scout leaders, as well as agreed on the visit by representatives of Malaysia to Kazakhstan in July 2014, to participate in the III Jamboree of Eurasian region with theme titled "Nomads: the history of life and traditions" which will be held in 200 kilometers from Astana, in the picturesque resort Burabai.
