Project

Beautifying Westfield

1st Dec 2013

I had to get my Eagle Project done so I was looking all around town and seen that we needed to make our city more beautiful from the horrible tornado in 2011 that damaged almost all our beautiful trees and landscaping. So I was thinking what about planting trees for our city to enjoy. I started by asking the mayor first to get it approved and he said "Because of the horrible tornado we had in 2011 we had gotten a grant to fix any damages we had in our community." So I said "Great! I'm working on my eagle project and wondering if I could help the community out by planting about 30 trees?" So I did all the paper work the proposal and it had gotten approved so right when it did I went to the nursery and tagged 30-40 trees to be picked up by the Department of Public Works. Then I grabbed a crew from school, teachers, family, church and started on June 1st 2013 planting.
