Priorité stratégique 3: Filles et garçons, femmes et hommes
Cette priorité stratégique vise à identifier le soutien et les outils nécessaires pour aider les Organisations scoutes nationales (OSN) à offrir des chances égales aux filles et aux garçons, aux femmes et aux hommes à tous les niveaux dans le Scoutisme. Le résultat attendu est de nouvelles chances pour tous et, au travers d'une augmentation des adhésions des jeunes et des animateurs adultes, un meilleur équilibre dans la répartition des sexes au sein des associations.

Boy Scouts in Pakistan support girls' education. 40,000 Scouts in Balochistan have joined forces with UNICEF to help improve the situation for girls in one the least developed regions of Pakistan. (pdf)

'One of the Boys? Doing Gender in Scouting', report of a research project by Harriet Bjerrum Nielson, Centre for Women's Studies, Oslo University. In co-operation with the European Scout Region, WOSM's Educational Methods Group launched, in 2001, this research project on "Gender and Education in Scouting" to ask questions such as:
- Does the Movement take the needs and aspirations of both girls and boys into account when designing the educational programmes?
- Are adult leaders able to carefully observe and analyse what is really happening in the field?
- Are they keen to improve their current practices to ensure that each individual girl and boy is given opportunities to develop him/herself fully?
