Children’s rights, a priority for development
Scouts and Guides awarded the First Parliamentary Prize in Rome
Geneva, 17 Nov. 2005 – Every year on 20 November the international community celebrates the Convention of the Rights of the Child. The Scout and the Guide Movements will reconfirm their commitment to this cause and on this occasion they will also receive the First Parliementary Prize for Childhood (2005).
The Commission for Childhood of the Italian Parliament is awarding this in recognition of the educational accomplishments of our Movements. The prize will be presented to WAGGGS Chairman Elspeth Henderson and WOSM Vice Chairman Philippe Da Costa.
