Scout Boom Comm
Is our image at the heart of everything?
The reflection that it provides of ourselves - between reality and preconceived ideas, passing through caricature - is a precious, though often irritating, asset.
Like an adolescent, aghast at the acne spots in the mirror, urging us to find the miracle cure to stop the embarrassing rash! While not claiming to have the perfect recipe, we propose a methodological approach tested by other organisations and by the business world, which we have adapted to Scouting.
This quick presentation is only here in order to invite you to be patient, just like the acne-covered adolescent who has to wait for the itching to subside.
And the first step is to stop scratching, otherwise the situation will only get worse! Being patient is one of the tips that you will find in the section on strategy – as there is nothing more important in ensuring a successful strategy than to take one’s time.
First, this publication will examine the theoretical foundations underlying identity, image and strategic development.
Secondly, we will offer a rigorous methodological approach, presented in ten distinct stages:
- Using the results of the situation analysis as a starting point.
- Establishing a vision of the organisation in the future.
- Identifying priorities.
- Determining targets.
- Formulating communication objectives.
- Choosing powerful themes.
- Creating communication streams.
- Adapting the messages.
- Taking one’s time.
- Selecting means.
