Paramaribo capital city of Suriname hosted the first instance of the Regional Communications Forums. With the participation of leaders from scouts of Guyana, Grenada, Nevis, Trinidad and Tobago and Suriname. The forums will be held in the different regions of the world, to train over 100 national Scout organizations.

The Boy Scouts van Suriname were the hosts of this forum, led by Richard Amalvy, Director of external relations and Marketing of the World Scout Bureau.

The communication forums are aimed at empowering Scout Leaders to help improve the way in which they communicate inside and outside of their national organizations. Through interesting exhibitions and much teamwork, the participants managed to gain valuable knowledge and develop their skills. The Forum also seeks to strengthen national organization's growth strategies, which is the reason that one of the themes is growth.
