In September 2005, the World Scout Conference adopted a Brand Communication Strategy for the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM), with a training plan developed to facilitate the implementation of the Communication Strategy at international and national level.

The aim is to train the persons in charge of the Communication Strategy of a National Scout Organization and future Young Spokespeople who can help put the faces of youth in front of the media.

Facilitators of the seminar will be:

• Richard Amalvy, Director of Communication and Media, World Scout Bureau. He has twenty years of experience in Public Relations, is a former journalist and writer. In 2003 he published the training manual on Scouting's Profile: 'Scout.Boom.Comm'.

• Euloge Ishimwe, Communications Unit Manager, World Scout Bureau, Africa Regional office. He is also a former lecturer of journalism, a journalist and a television producer.

Participants will be inter alia:

• Members of the Communication and the Public Relations teams at the national level

• Young future spokespersons

• People able to effect real change and able to involve themselves in the decision-making processes

• Those with the ability to communicate in French.
