Fundraising and EVS Support Officer

The mission of Scouting is to contribute to the education of young people through a value system based on the Scout Promise and Law, to help build a better world where people are self-fulfilled as individually and play a constructive role in society.
The World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) comprises more than 28 million members, operating through 160 national organisations in 219 countries and territories, through a system of local groups.
The European Region, one of the 6 regional organisations, is looking for a dynamic individual to join the regional team as Fundraising and EVS Support Officer with responsibilities for:
1. Identifying new fundraising opportunities at European level
2. Fully utilising existing sources of external funding to the maximum possible
3. Providing support for funding applications in support of National Scout Organisations
4. Developing networks and contacts to raise funds for European Scouting
5. Design, implement and manage an EVS programme based for the European Region
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, a self-starter with excellent communication and analytical skills, able to work on their own initiative and ideally with at least 1 year’s experience in fundraising or project management roles.
This is a two-year contract. This may be renewed.
