JOTI is an annual event when Scouts and Guides all over the world make contact with each other by means of the Internet. It is a real Jamboree during which Scouting experiences are exchanged and ideas are shared, thus contributing to the world brotherhood of Scouting. JOTI is a world-wide event mainly for Scouting groups in all youth programme sections, although members may participate individually.
The Jamboree on Internet (JOTI) is the biggest Scout event online! It is a real discovery of the international dimension of Scouting, where young people learn about new technologies and share the vision of millions of Scouts: creating a better world!
For the first time ever, Scouts from all over the world will take part on the "World Scout Challenge - JOTI 2008". Be one of them!
Making a difference has never been easier! During this JOTI, we want thousands of you to join the 'SCOUTS' team on World Community Grid and start to support critical humanitarian research. All you need is a computer with regular Internet access!
The 51st JOTA / 12th JOTI took place on 18 and 19 October 2008.
The World Scout Bureau operated its amateur radio station HB9S and a World JOTI station from the Les Perouses Scout Centre on the outskirts of Geneva.
