With the presence of scouts leaders from the Scout Associations of: Anguilla, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, British Virgin Island, Tortola, Guyana, St. Vincent, St. Kitts and Neves, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago and Curaçao, as host, was held the Caribbean Chief Commissioners Conference, on November 2 to 4.
Everything started on November 2nd with the opening ceremony where Regis Mercera, President of Scouting Antiano, Raul Sanchez, Regional Director for the World Scout Bureau - Interamerican Region and Fernando Brodeschi, First Vice President of the Interamerican Scout Committee, shared his speeches with presents . Subsequently a nice dinner was held.
The headquarters of Scouting Antiano, National Scout Organization of Curaçao, was the place where the sessions on the agenda of the meeting were held. Some of the topics discussed were: Up-date of the Interamerican Scout Region, Report on meetings and workshops organized by the World Scout Bureau - Interamerican Region in the Caribbean, Messengers of Peace, Shelterbox presentation, associations needs , upcoming world, regional and Caribbean events.
On Saturday night there was a casual dinner at home of the President of Scouting Antiano. On Sunday the last sessions were conducted with the conclusions and resolutions of the Conference.
Throughout the meeting a spirit of brotherhood prevailed and especially strong desire to overcome. Caribbean Scout associations welcomed the support they have received from the World Scout Bureau - Interamerican Region but requested more support yet.
