Scouting partnership sees progress in western Mongolia
Through a strong partnership forged between the Scout Association of Mongolia (SAM) and YMCA-Scouts of Denmark which has been going on for a couple of years now, the efforts to boost Scouting in Khovd province, at the western part of Mongolia have been made.
After staying in Denmark for two and a half months where they participated in international project management course and visited several Scout troops, the assigned team comprised of one Danish and three Mongolian Scout Leaders are now back in Mongolia to implement a strategy plan for sustainable scouting in Khovd. Their main focus is to give an effective Scout programme to young people by producing the latest activity material that will help Scouts do their tasks better and to start up a network among Scouts where they can share and exchange ideas and experiences.
