On the 1st of September the Romanian Scouts were voted the NGO that makes the most impact in Romanian society and were awarded with a prize of almost 10,000 euros. Ionut Oprea, Director of Romania's largest blog agency, launched the campaign in which people could vote online between the 20-30 August.

From the 5th to the 7th October the first meeting of the Growth Network will take place in Berlin.

La 19e Conférence Européenne du Scoutisme a eu lieu à Portoroz, Slovènie du 5 au 11 mai 2007. Plus de 200 délégués ont participé et le Rapport complet est maintenant disponible.

On Wednesday, 4th July we had our sixth meeting of European Scouting and members of the European Parliament. Marian Harkin (MEP) hosted the meeting.

On Wednesday 20th June, the President of Croatia Stjepan Mesic made paid special tribute to the Scout Association of Croatia (SiH).

Lors de sa réunion qui s'est tenue à Genève du 8 au 10 juin 2007, le Comité Européen du Scoutisme a pris note de la résolution 09/2007 "Méthodes de travail ouvertes" de la 19e Conférence Européenne du Scoutisme et a décidé de lancer d'urgence un appel ouvert. Cela fait suite aux discussions approfondies relatives aux différents domaines d'activité et aux méthodologies générales qui seront mises en œuvre pour réaliser le Plan Européen du Scoutisme 2007-2010.

Four weeks after the 19th European Scout Conference, the newly elected European Scout Committee met in Geneva from 8-10 June 2007. All elected Members were in attendance and worked through a substantial agenda. Mario Diaz from the World Scout Committee also participated, as did the Chairman of the European Scout Foundation. The meeting was supported by the Regional Director.

The Long Term Capacity Building Project in Eastern Europe is initiated and guided by the Danish Scout and Guide Council, and supported by European Region WAGGGS and WOSM - European Region.

The Planning Team for the Training Commissioners Network Meeting met during the weekend 2 - 3 June to prepare the Meeting.

Formation sur mesure pour les directeurs nationaux

Les directeurs scouts en Roumanie sont jeunes et rencontrent des difficultés au niveau de la gestion de l’association. Le recrutement d’une équipe nationale a permis l’engagement d’une nouvelle génération d’animateurs qui ont besoin de connaissances et de compétences en matière de gestion et de travail en équipe. A leur requête, deux membres de l’Equipe de formation à la Gestion ont assuré la formation des directeurs nationaux du 18 au 20 mai à Bucarest.
