Nouvelles de la Région Europe

Twenty years ago the UN adopted the Convention of the Rights of the Child. This means that for 20 years children around the world have certain rights that must be respected. To celebrate this anniversary, the European Commission has launched a poster competition with the winning entries receiving the chance to travel to Brussels to receive the award!!!

The WOSM – European Region and the Europe Region WAGGGS jointly are now launching a European Voluntary Service project where some young volunteers from all around Europe will offer their time and service with the aim to ensure support to MOs and NSOs in the preparations and implementation of 2011, the European Year of Volunteering.

Another important step has been recently taken to give to more Scouts the chance to visit Kandersteg International Scout Centre and experience the Permanent Mini-Jamboree!

The European Scout Region has made available a basic registration software system originally developed by Lietuvos Skautija, Lithuanian Scouting. The system is free for National Scout Organisations who are interested in using it.

All of Guiding and Scouting in Belgium is looking forward to welcoming you in their refreshing and hydrating country for the first European conference in the 2nd centenary of Guiding and Scouting.
