Festival of Volunteers has become a tradition in Moldova and has the aim to recognize the merits of volunteering in the country.
Thus, on December 9th, all volunteers from across the country gathered in the Republic Hall to celebrate International Day of Volunteering and to name and honor persons and NGOs that actively participate and support the voluntary initiatives.
National Scout Association of Moldova participated at this festival by submitting applications to the following sections:
- The most active organization that promotes volunteering in Moldova;
- The most active volunteer coordinator (participant: Sergiu Chirica-NSAM President);
- The most active volunteer (participants: Nadejda Dobanda- NSAM Council member, Vasile Godoroja- NASM Council member, Maria Bobeica- Commissioner of Chisinau Branch).
Grand Prix at the section for the most active volunteer coordinator was won by Sergiu Chirica- NSAM President.
"I have a team of more than 2,000 Scouts from all over the country who are involved daily in all things that represent scouting in Moldova, without them I could not pick up this award today."
We hope that this recognition from the government, organizers and not at least the society will motivate each adult and child to become a worthy citizen of his country.
