Kaurna Cub Pack - Flagstaff Hill Scout Group and Cancer Council South Australia

12. Nov 2013

The Australian Cub Scout Award Scheme has many methods for youth members to grow and achieve, one of these methods is the Boomerang system. The Gold Boomerang is the highest Boomerang, usually achieved by youth members between ten and eleven years old. Gold Boomerang Section Seven - Promise and Law, Sub Category Service requires Cub Scouts to "do a good turn by helping plan, and taking part in, an activity which will assist an organization that helps other people, and tell your Leader about it".

Two Cub Scouts within the Kaurna Cub Pack organized fundraising for the Cancer Council South Australia. The Cub Scouts chose the charity and prepared notices and donation cans. The Cub Scouts were able to raise $60 for the Cancer Council South Australia.
