Multicultural Scouting
Scouting is open to all and built on friendship, and by being involved in the Movement and working as a team, cultural differences are appreciated rather than dividing young people. Both adults and youth benefit from learning about each other and their unique backgrounds. What’s most important in Scouting is what the children have in common – a love of the outdoors and helping others as they grow and learn!
Celebrating diversity in Scouting! “Our Vision for the Future” is a newly released video from the Central Ontario Administration Centre and National Communications which celebrates and promotes the increasing involvement of many cultures and religious denominations in Scout Canada’s membership.
This video clip touches on many of the themes of World Scouting and is in line with the Communications Strategy of the Movement. The World Scout Bureau is happy to support NSOs in the development of their Communications tools. Contact for more information on how you can work together.
