Through this peace initiative in Kukusan village, Beji district, Depok, West Java, the 60 families living here now enjoy the benefits of having a clean community and healthy lifestyle. In partnership with the Ministry of Health, Rovers and Senior Rovers directly worked with the people in the community doing door-to-door visitation; health check-up and dissemination of handbooks. Others conducted rivers and streets clean-up, serving as a bridge between the people and the environment, being naturally an environment advocates. After six months of dedicated work, the village now looks beautiful with cleaner and healthier environment, giving a picture of what Scouts participation can do in the society. |
