Setting the basis for a new Training System
Following completion of its new Youth Programme, the Scout Association of Macedonia started developing its new training system. A Forum was an important step in that process, with the aim to set the framework and propose the process for the development of the new training system.
23 participants, all of them young but with significant experience in training, gathered in the Scout Centre Ohrid for the weekend 26 - 28 October 2007. They analysed the current training system, discussed external and internal trends, explored how adults learn and then designed drafts that will be submitted to the Executive Committee of the Association.
The Leadership Capacity Project, a joint initiative of the WAGGGS and WOSM European Regions and the Danish Scouts and Guides, supported the Forum. Three trainers from Denmark and one from the World Scout Bureau - European Regional Office helped with the delivery of the Forum.
