The World Scout Bureau/Asia-Pacific Regional office offers different opportunities where Scouts can apply and continue to develop their potentials and share their skills and experience.

To provide opportunities for Scout Executives and potential Scout Executives from National Scout Organizations in the region and to young adults, fresh college graduates from universities for training in Scouting field activities and office operations through assigning projects and hands on activities that will enhance the individual’s knowledge and skills in specific areas.

To foster strong working relationship in a multicultural setting, Kakani International Training Centre (KITC) offers to young adults the Short Term Staff Exchange Programme for the year 2009. All application forms must be recommended by their respective National Scout Organizations.

The APR Financial Resources Sub-Committee is one of the advisory bodies to the APR Scout Committee and is responsible to implement, monitor, and evaluate the achievements of the action plan under priority area of Finance in the APR Strategic Plan Vision 2013.

The Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Committee recognizes individuals for their outstanding contribution to Scouting at National, International level and remarkable achievements through the APR Scout Award for Distinguished Services, APR Chairman’s Award, Certificate of Good Service Award and APR Gallantry Award. As per the awards criteria, the Regional Scout Committee will make the decision based on the recommendations of the APR Awards Committee formed by the Regional Committee.

The Regional Scout Committee will nominate the Awards Committee, at the first Regional Committee meeting following the Regional Conference each triennium. The term of appointment is for three years but renewable for a period of up to six years.
