Eyes of Arab Scout Leaders Stared at Cairo International Scout Center
With great attention on the part of Arab scout leaders, the Arab Seminar on the Management and Organization of Large-scale Scout Events was inaugurated. This prestigious Event, which was organized during the period 2-5/3/2008, gained the attention of senior experienced executives and witnessed intensive presence by participants from Jordan, Bahrain, Tunisia, Sudan, Oman, Palestine, Lebanon, Egypt and the International Union for Muslim Scout (IUMS). During the opening ceremony, the Arab Scout Regional Director made sure that we should co-operate for the development of the Arab Scout Movement and that we should be well-prepared for the centenary celebration of Arab Scouting in 2012.
The participants in the Seminar have discussed the agendas of the 28th Arab Scout Jamboree due to be held in Tunisia in Summer 2008 and the 17th Arab Jamboree for Rovers due to be organized in Yemen. They also considered the following topics:
· Revision of the by-law of the large-scale Arab and world jamborees.
· Requirements of external missions.
· Protocols and etiquettes governing the organization of youth events.
· Items included in programs of jamborees (scout arts- technology- environmental protection- development village- scientific activities- sports activities- recreational activities- visits to historical sites of the hosting country).
