Regional Scout Committee

Regional Scout Committee (2012-2015)

The Committee shall consist of ten persons from member National Scout Organizations in the Asia-Pacific Region who shall be elected by the conference by secret ballot for a term of six years. One of its main functions is to act on behalf of the Conference between its meetings and to appoint sub-committees or study committees as may be needed.

Financial Resources Sub-Committee

The APR Financial Resources Sub-Committee is one of the advisory bodies to the APR Scout Committee and is responsible to implement, monitor, and evaluate the achievements of the action plan under priority area of Finance in the APR Strategic Plan Vision 2013.

APR Awards Committee

The Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Committee recognizes individuals for their outstanding contribution to Scouting at National, International level and remarkable achievements through the APR Scout Award for Distinguished Services, APR Chairman’s Award, Certificate of Good Service Award and APR Gallantry Award. As per the awards criteria, the Regional Scout Committee will make the decision based on the recommendations of the APR Awards Committee formed by the Regional Committee.

The Regional Scout Committee will nominate the Awards Committee, at the first Regional Committee meeting following the Regional Conference each triennium. The term of appointment is for three years but renewable for a period of up to six years.
