You and I have the ability to choose peace and actively work towards it. Peace comes through experience, understanding and breaking down our own walls so that we can understand one another.

Peace is more than a reflection, more than a conviction - it’s a way of life.

As we find peace within ourselves, we must shre this great message with all. Peace begins with each one of us. It occurs when we share love, understanding, tolerance and respect for each other.

Peace is not simply the absence of war; it is the presence of equality and justice.

When we live in peace we don't realise how important this is, but we do when we lose it.

Peace cannot be defined simply as "the absence of war". True peace must involve a lasting commitment to tolerance, understanding, mutual respect, a willingness to work together and an adherence to the universal values of humanity that transcend the frontiers of race, religion and culture.

Our experiences in Scouting help us to find ways for us as individuals to work for peace, justice and freedom through non violent means. Together we can celebrate our unity regardless of our faith, race, nationality or other differences.

Let all bear in mind that a society is judged not so much by the standards attained by its more affluent and privileged members as by the quality of life which it is able to assure for its weakest members.
