Voices of Youth / MDG Summit
UNICEF, the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) and WAGGGs amplify young people’s voices through the use of their digital platforms.
As the world’s leaders convene in New York for the historic Millennium Development Goal Summit, Voices of Youth will keep its community and young partners abreast by getting unprecedented and exclusive access to experts on issues like poverty, hunger, HIV/AIDS, women’s health, and climate change.

During the MDG summit, young activists will share the scene with their peers through discussions and video messages on the Millennium Development Goals themes at the youth-dedicated channel : www.youtube.com/unicefvoy
Voices of Youth will work along top bloggers and other media outlets at the UN Week Digital Media lounge from September 21-24, 2010. In contrast to previous UN Summits, which have largely been off limits to NGOs and digital media, the UN Week Digital Media lounge will bring closed-door conversations from the historic Millennium Development Goal Summit out of the halls of the UN and into the public arena. This represents an unique opportunity to join the discussions.
The Voices of Youth blog is a new platform created by UNICEF to report on issues which affect young people and adolescents globally. The blog is open to contributors from around the world and features articles and posts from children and adolescents.
