Peace Messages

Millions of Scouts are working for Peace, taking action within their communities through Gifts for Peace projects and speaking out, sharing their thoughts and wishes through multi-media peace messages.

At the 21st World Scout Jamboree, Scouts recorded their messages for peace through open source software, working to spread tolerance and understanding whilst helping to reduce the digital divide. These were recorded as video clips, audio clips, photographs and computer graphics.

You can contribute by designing your own messages. Click here to access the Open Source Peace Messages activity (Pack 4 of the Join-in-Centenary resource) for ideas and useful links. We will collect these messages until October 21st, the weekend of the JOTA and JOTI events.

Send your messages or questions to: Nicola Gooderson, Project Manager, 2007 Centenary:

Please remember to include your name, Scout group, National Scout Organization, country, the title of the entry and a short written description explaining what it represents (English or French).
N.B. The size of video clips should not exceed 320 x 240 pixels.
