The Regional Scout Plan 2010-2013
During the first Regional Meeting at the 39th World Scout Conference, the European Scout Committee took the opportunity to update NSOs from across Europe, on the progress made since the 20th European Scout Conference held in July 2010.
The meeting which brought together some 250 people from Europe also provided an excellent opportunity to present the Regional Scout Plan 2010-2013, which has been developed quite significantly since the very first discussions took place.
Members of the European Scout Committee with responsibility for supporting each of the five themes took it in turn to highlight the key Objectives and Actions relating to their area of work.
The plan will be used as a tool by the European Scout Committee throughout the triennium, and enhanced communication on performance and impact will be done on annual basis, building on the previous practice of providing Annual Review to NSOs.
In presenting the Regional Scout Plan, Craig Turpie, Chairman of the European Scout Committee said, ‘This is a plan that has been conceived and developed with the full involvement of associations. Great efforts have been made to ensure that there is a focus on providing support, involving associations and seeking ways to better measure performance. We will continue to count on the close involvement of associations with the implementation, and particularly with the measurement of impact.Regional Scout Plan 2010-2013
