The Second National Youth Forum of Guatemala organized by the Coordinating Committee of the Youth Network (YN), the event fulfilled all its expectations. Was held on May 11 and 12 at San Jorge Muxbal (Guatemala), with 39 participants young scouts, men and women, from different groups, and an organizing team of 5 people.
In the city of Recife, Pernambuco, was held on 26, 27 and 28 of April, the XIX Congresso Escoteiro Nacional (National Assembly), attended by over 300 representatives from all regions of the country.
On April 18 was held at the Convention Center of the City of Knowledge "Forum: Consultation on the Draft Law on Volunteerism in Panama" initiative supported by a broad and diverse coalition of organizations in Panama.
On Saturday April 6 was held a banquet to celebrate the centenary of Scouting in The Bahamas.
The event had a large share of people belong and have belonged to The Scout Association of The Bahamas, plus personalities of other youth organizations (Boys Brigade, Girl Guides) and local government.
From February 15th to 17th a national workshop of Youth Programme was held in the city of Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. The aim of this workshop was to unify criteria on Youth Programme relevant themes, identify the aspects that have generated more problems in its application, trying to find solutions to them.
With the enthusiastic participation of 25 trainers was held the second weekend of the Level 1 course (third wood badge bead) in the Scouts of El Salvador. From different populations and different groups, these trainers enjoyed together the second and final part of the course.
Executive directors of the National Scout Organizations of Panama, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala gathered at the World Scout Bureau - Interamerican Region, in the City of Knowledge in Panama to participate in the course "Best practices in NGOs" taught by Philippe Berberat, from SGS company. The course was held on March 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
From the 8 to the 10 of february in the World Scout Office, Interamerican Region, located in the City of Knowledge, Panama, Adults and youths from Colombia, Honduras, Argentina, Guatemala, México, Panamá, Curacao and Brasil that in some moment have been a point of reference in this topic on the region met.
On last 26 and 27th of January, the regional authorities of 14 out of 16 Regions gathered in Colombia’s capital city, Bogotá.
