Adult Resources Network

Working structures of the WOSM - European Region in the area of Adult Resources are centred around an Adult Resources Network, as part of the Educational Methods structure. Aim of the Network is to assist the European Scout Committee and the Educational Methods Team in implementing the Regional Scout Plan 2007 – 2010 concerning the strategic priority Supporting Adult Volunteers.

By the end of the triennium the Adult Resources Network will have:

  • Delivered on the Adults we Need commitments as specified in the Regional Scout Plan
  • Been seen to give credible support to associations in relation to adult support issues
  • Maintain and service a community of adult resources practitioners
  • Worked closely with the Youth Programme Core Group as part of the Educational Methods structure, and other bodies of the WOSM - European region.

The Adult Resources Network is comprised of the Adult Resources Core Group and different Units and Ad-hoc groups which support its work.

These have been and will be developed to implement particular projects and tasks in line with the commitments made in the Regional Scout Plan and resolutions adopted at the 19th European Scout Conference. Further, the Adult Resources Network will be expanded to accommodate a virtual community of adult resource practitioners with an interest in one or more areas of the networks activities.

The Network has its space on Internet in the Community Zero. Membership in the Community is open to all who want to benefit and contribute. To join, please visit www.communityzero.com/arn
