Malaysia hosts Asia-Pacific Regional Workshop on ICT in Scouting
The workshop, covering the direct link of ICT in major Scouting operational areas, is hosted by Persekutuan Pengakap Malaysia (The Scout Association of Malaysia) right at the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 5-9 September 2007.
Areas such as such as management, membership system, training of adults, youth events, youth involvement, branding and communications, and marketing were the ones discussed by around 40 participants from Australia, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Maldives, Malaysia, Philippines, Scouts of China and Thailand.
The workshop was the third of a series of workshops to complete the work of the Scouting Profile Sub-Committee in their three-year term. Profile Sub-Committee Chairman Dr Mukhyuddin Bin Sarwani directed the workshop with the support of APR executives.
