Saudia Arabia Invites Scout Foundation Delegation
In September representatives of the World Scout Foundation were official guests for the opening of the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology.
It is an international, graduate-level research university dedicated to inspiring a new age of scientific achievement to benefit the Kingdom, region and world. The University is merit-based and open to men and women from around the world. This visit follows the recent US$3-million donation to the Foundation from His Majesty King Abdullah, and was an opportunity to meet with other Saudi members of the Foundation’s Honours Programme. Donning their Scout uniforms, the delegation joined a large Scout event to celebrate Saudi national day.
