Honduras "Lechetón" 2012

On Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 June in various cities of Honduras, scouts across the country volunteered in Lechetón 2012.
The Lechetón is a milk collection in conjunction with Tetra Pak and Lacthosa Sula, in order to help feed children and elderly people living in shelters in the country with the benefits of the nutrients in milk.

During the weekend participants Scout Groups were assigned to supermarkets in their city, once it was addressed to the general public requesting the donation of milk.
The collection goal this year was 50,000 units of milk. After a long day and with the help of customers and their generosity could reach the goal with a total of 75,475 units already benefiting many children and elderly of our country. The donations of milk were distributed to schools throughout the country such as PREPACE, Psicopedagógico Juana Leclerc Institute, Ark of Hope, Home Emmanuel among others.
Scouts from throughout Honduras are proud and happy because with this type of activity we are building a better world and especially because we are messengers of peace.
