Visit to Nicaragua
Jose Gabriel Criollo, Director of Institutional Development and Raul Sanchez Vaca, Regional Director, held a visit to Nicaragua the past days 3 ,4 and 5 August.
During the visit, they met with members of the National Board of the Scout Association of Nicaragua, National Office Staff and volunteers working with the national level. The agenda included an analysis of the current situation of the Association, reviewing the project proposal Messengers of Peace presented at earlier dates and definition of support from the World Scout Bureau - Interamerican Region for institutional development of the ASN.
In a pleasant atmosphere of scout brotherhood , was analyzed the difficult situation being experienced by the National Scout Organization. Was defined the main problems facing the ASN.
Was reviewed in depth the draft Messengers of Peace which had been developed, agreeing to reformulate it to focusing to Institutional Development, always within the scope of work in peace.
It was agreed the support provided by the World Scout Bureau - Interamerican Region to the ASN in various strategic areas.
