Regional Educational Methods Seminar – Adults in Scouting
On last 31 of August and 1-2 September, 19 adults from 8 NSOs met in Costa Rica during the Regional Educational Methods Seminar, specifically to work on topics related to Adults in Scouting.
During the seminar, joint work between Youth Programme participants and Adults in Scouting participants showed how important it is to do so.
Main goals were the review of the proposed Policy Principles and Core Competencies, which have been being developed during the subregional meetings held during this year. Working with characteristics and profiles and their concluding specific competencies was a way to demonstrate how important but at the same time easy it is to work with the competency approach. Rafe Lucado, member of the Interamerican Scout Committee, conducted the debates in the area of Adults in Scouting.
