National Meeting of Pioneers, Rovers and Educators of the Scout Movement of Uruguay

In the frame of the process of updating its Youth Programmw, launched earlier this year, the Scout Movement of Uruguay (MSU) convened its pioners (venturers), rovers and scouts educators to discuss, work and celebrate together during October 13-15.

In a natural and joyful environment, the participants discussed and worked on issues such as the social context of today's Uruguay, the vision of man, woman and world, the mission declaration, the age ranges and psychological characteristics of children, adolescents and young people, the needs and interests of young people as well as what have been currently satisfied by the program and what have not.
The debates and works were conducted with the assistance of outside professionals, supported by the World Scout Bureau, Interamerican Region, who have accompanied this process since its inception and have funded the Messengers of Peace initiative.
Of course there was also time for games, sports, entertainment and a bonfire in the woods. For three days, young people and adults reflected together on issues that affect them as citizens and as scouts, taking effective part in the decision making process of the NSO.
Congratulations to the MSU!
