How do you benefit from volunteering in Scouting?

 

Scouting makes me feel that I am useful in society. I have a chance to contribute to helping others and solving problems, like after the Tsunami.

 

I have learned how to communicate well with people and organise events. In Scouting there are lots of new possibilities, especially learning how to live in nature in the forest.

 

I have learned a lot and especially some useful skills which I have been able to use to help my friends, my family and my work.

 

I have gained much personal growth and development. My training involvement in Scouting compliments my work as a university teacher.

 

I've learned a lot. I have contributed to building civil society in my country and Scouting makes life more interesting.

 

Through Scouting I have learned to be more open to other people. I realise how important it is to be friends with people from other countries and cultures.

 

Scouting is an art of giving. Being in a volunteer organisation, you give your time and efforts willingly and happily. I have learnt that sometimes sacrifices are necessary.

 

Scouting changed the way I look at things. It shaped me into a better person through the Scout Promise and Law. Being a leader, I simply want to help young people.

 

From Scouting, I have learned how to manage people and work in a team. I am more confident in finding creative solutions to problems. I have found lots of friends who are like family to me.

 

I have gained lots of new knowledge from Scouting that I could not get in other ways. The international dimension and Jamborees give another dimension to my life.
