Now your computer can do a Good Turn too!

Making a difference has never been easier! During this JOTI, we want thousands of you to join the 'SCOUTS' team on World Community Grid and start to support critical humanitarian research. All you need is a computer with regular Internet access!

World Community Grid's mission is to create the world's largest public computing grid to tackle projects that benefit humanity. Whether it's research projects on cancer, investigations into therapies for HIV/Aids, climate change modelling or many other research projects - World Community Grid is being used for all of these projects and more.

Grid computing joins together many individual computers, creating a large system with massive computational power that far surpasses the power of a handful of supercomputers. Because the work is split into small pieces that can be processed simultaneously, research time is reduced from years to months.

During JOTI - even while you are chatting or talking with other Scouts from every part of the world - you can start making an important contribution to Creating a Better World through more efficient use of your computer's processing power.

To join our SCOUTS team on World Community Grid, download the following documents in which you will find all the information that you need to get started in this exciting project.
