ETHIOPIA – For a week, 11th to 16th March 2013, Addis Ababa became the capital of Africa Scouting, as Scouts and Scouts leaders from across the continent converged at the Addis Ababa University College of Development Studies for events around the All Africa Scout Day celebrations. The overriding theme for this year celebrations was “Scouts promoting good citizenship and peace”.
As it has been the tradition, 13th March is celebrated across the region as Africa Scout Day and this is a reminder and call to your respective NSOs to make necessary preparations for the celebrations of Africa Scout Day 2013.
KENYA- 16 Rovers came together to form the Masaku Rover group that is located in Machakos, at the outskirts of Nairobi, Kenya. With the theme ‘Youth, crime and Drugs’, the rovers in conjunction with volunteers from the Ministry of youth organized a peace walk in Machakos town on 17th September 2012. The walk was supported by the Global Veterans of Peace Ambassadors (GLOVEPA) and the Kenya Police.

ETHIOPIA - After a colorful 6th Africa Scout Jamboree the Africa Scout fraternity is looking forward to the Africa Scout Day that is set to take place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from the 10th-14th March 2013. The event with the theme, “Scouts promoting good citizenship and peace”, will target participants from the age of 14-26 years who are expected to pay 400 ETB (20 USD) for national Scouts, 60 USD for the rest of the Africa region and 100 USD for the rest of the world.
