Annual Scout Dinner 2006 in Ecuador
The Scout Association of Ecuador held its Annual Scout Dinner 2006 on Friday 2 June at the Hilton Colón Hotel in Quito with the theme “More Scouts today, better citizens tomorrow”.
Mr. Oswaldo Navas, Chairman of the Association, delivered the keynote address at the event. The Association also recognized several companies and organizations that promote values such as solidarity, perseverance and good citizenship, in clear alignment with the principles and values of Scouting worldwide. Among the institutions that received recognition were the Ecuadorian Red Cross, “El Comercio” news and “Operation Smile”. There was also recognition to the late Mr. Nahim Isaías, former Chairman of the Scout Association of Ecuador and of the Interamerican Scout Committee (period 1970-1972). The representative of the “Nahim Isaías Barquet” Foundation accepted the award.
