Crossing the digital chasm: Scouts from Lisanga, D. R. Congo, take part in JOTI - JOTA 2008

KINSHASA - On Saturday 18 and on Sunday 19 October 2008 Cubs and Scouts of the Scout Group of Bishop Bokeleale School, Lisanga, Democratic Republic of the Congo took part in the JOTI-JOTA.
The event took place at the Lisanga School's cyber.

At the end of the two days, 7 Cubs and 15 Scouts had had the opportunity to surf the Internet and to get in touch with their friends from across the world. They also took part in a contest organized by the JOTI - JOTA on the theme of peace and environment.

On Sunday 19 October 2008, the Scouts were visited by three senior members of the Scout Movement: The President of the provincial Committee of Association des Scouts de Kinshasa and two executives from WOSM – Africa Region: Mr. Jacques Sandrizi and Mr. Lamine Diawara. These two ARO officials exchanged with the youth and gave them a motivational talk. The Scouts were very happy and for the visit.
