BUJUMBURA - The Africa Scout Day, celebrated each year on 13th March was also celebrated by the Scouts of Burundi. Officials of the Association des Scouts du Burundi (ASB), at national and district level, together with members of the Scout Groups of Bujumbura and university-based Rover Crews commemorated this day in a correctional facility in Mpimba with Scouts from the said facility, who are members of a group known as « Espoir » (Hope).

رعى صاحب السمو الأمير فيصل بن عبد الله بن محمد آل سعود رئيس الكشافة العربية السعودية وزير التربية والتعليم حفل انطلاق البرنامج الوطني لحماية البيئة يوم أمس الثلاثاء في روضة خريم90كم شرق العاصمة الرياض بحضور مدير الصندوق الكشفي العالمي (جون قيقان) وأمين المنظمة الكشفية العربية الدكتور عاطف عبد المجيد. وفور وصول سموه عزف السلام الملكي، ثم تجول سموه والضيوف الكرام في المعارض المصاحبة وفي ختام المعرض اطلع سموه على جناح جمعية الكشافة وعرض لعدد من الفعاليات والأنشطة التي تنفذها، واختتم المعرض بالتوقيع على ميثاق البيئة.

A delegation of Boy Scouts of America headed by International Chairman Roger Schrimp met with the street children in Bangladesh at Karwan Bazar including representatives from five Scout units of Ticket to Life (TTL). In this rare opportunity, BSA officials spent time talking and playing with the children. At the venue, photos of activities and paintings made by children were put on display. BSA is one of the donors for this regional flagship project.

The Objectives of the Jamboree:

• Promoting the Scout method in the Eurasia Region countries on the basis of traditions and cultural particularities of each country;
• Strengthen the unity of the Scout movement, development of mutual understanding and cooperation in Scouting.

The first step…Training of Trainers in Bulgaria took place from 11 to 14 March with a lot of energy, debate, involvement and commitment.

Following an open process carried out in collaboration and agreement with the Interamerica Regional Scout Committee, Luc Panissod, Secretary General of World Scouting appointed Mr Raul Sanchez Vaca, from Mexico as the new Regional Director of the World Scout Bureau, Interamerican Regional Office.
