Course Design and Implementation of Adults in Scouting Policies and Management Systems

The implementation of competencies in Adults Management Systems is first objective for the Adults Area of the Triennial Plan for the Region 2014-2016 “Combining Efforts, Multiplying Results”.

“Just 6% of the National Scout Organizations in the Region have incorporated the approach of competencies in their Adults Management System, while another 12% of National Scout Organizations have adopted some of the elements based on their own criteria. The current plan aims to increase these percentages to 45% and 25% respectively” (Regional Plan 2014-2016 Interamerican Region)

With this framework a Design and implementation of Adults in Scouting Policies and Management Systems Workshop for the Caribbean was implemented. The training has two phases: on-site and online. The first phase was completed within past days in World Scout Bureau – Interamerican Region in Panama. Participants learned about competencies, job descriptions, and Adults policies in Scouting.
